How to Move iPad Icons

“How can I move iPad icons around on the screen? I want to put my most frequently used iPad apps closer together.”
When you download iPad apps from the iTunes Music Store, they are automatically put in the next available spot on the screen. You can move iPad icons around on the screen, move iPad icons to a new screen on the iPad or delete them entirely. The first thing you need to do is press and hold any of the iPad app icons on the screen.

After you press and hold one of the icons on the screen you will see that each icon is shaking slightly on your iPad screen and now has a black circle with a white X in one corner of the icon. While app icons are in this state, you can move them around on the screen to group them, move them to a new screen, or delete the app from your iPad.
