Artificial intelligence is a rapidly evolving space. Keeping up with all the news feels like a full time job. That’s where finding subject matter experts who are publish great AI newsletters and podcasts can be helpful in sifting through all the most relevant topics.

A Few Excellent AI Newsletters

The Rundown AI, started by Rowan Cheung, delivers bite-sized summaries of important developments in AI. Cheung definitely has a finger on the pulse of everything that’s happening. If you can only subscribe to one newsletter, this is the one I would pick. Low time commitment with high value summaries of what’s going on. You do need to be a subscriber to read the content. It’s also a little over the top with trying to sell you upgrades, but the content is high enough quality for me to ignore that.

Ben’s Bites offers highly approachable content that highlights new AI tools and provides helpful instruction on how to use them. Founded by Ben Tossell who also started Makerpad before selling it to Zapier in 2021. Ben’s Bites is great in part because of Tossell’s experience in the space and his ability to distill complex topics in a way that beginners can understand without feeling talked down to.

Future Perfect is another AI newsletter that provides valuable coverage of the space. The reason to subscribe to Future Perfect in addition to the other two publications is because the author, Marc Hoag, offers a different take. Hoag is a licensed attorney with an AI-focused law practice. His writing offers important insights around AI and the law in addition to analysis of emerging news and trends.

Some Great AI Podcasts

The AI Daily Brief is one of the few podcasts I listen to almost every day. It generally clocks in at under 20 minutes, and goes by even faster when I listen at my preferred 1.25x playback speed. The podcast is hosted by Nathaniel Whittemore, the CEO and founder of Superintelligent. I find Whittemore’s takes particularly insightful because his company is constant looking at the artificial intelligence space in order to better serve their own customers. If you want bite-sized daily summaries of what’s happening in AI without needing to read, the AI Daily Brief is essential.

If you want to dig deeper on AI, the MIT Sloan Management Review and Boston Consulting Group host Me, Myself, and AI. This one definitely lands in the realm of AI and how it is impacting the business world, which is part of the appeal. Instead of rehashing the latest news, the hosts interview guests who are talking about all the ways AI is changing a wide variety of businesses.

These AI newsletters and podcasts are only the tip of the iceberg. There are definitely more out there than anyone could possibly find time to read or listen to. Of course, you can also subscribe to our newsletter as another way to get curated recommendations and explanations about some of the most important topics in this rapidly changing space.
